B&B Hotel Bochum-City

The property is one U-Bahn station away from Bochum Hauptbahnhof, near to the Rathaus. The property is relatively new, modern, basic and clean. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. We booked a family room for 4 nights as we were visiting family and friends to celebrate New Year. The room was on the 5th floor and looked out to a railway track. We however did not see or hear any trains (we had read from other reviews that this was an issue). The family room had bunk beds for our 2 children and a double bed for us. It was big enough for our needs. The shower/ toilet is small, however that too fitted in with our requirements. We booked for breakfast on some of the days and it was again ok with all of us and reasonably priced

The staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was tasty and sufficient for our needs. The hotel is a 15 minute brisk walk from the HBF which meant it is fairly quiet. There is a new retail centre opened two minutes away for essential provisions, immaculately presented. A decent sized twin room with an excellent shower. I would recommend this hotel if you want a safe, comfortable stay in this very pleasant city.

Nice and clean hotel and room, kids was happy with bunk bed, family rooms so don’t need to pay for 2 rooms, close to the town centre and bakery. Car park available on the site (€15 extra to the room price). Pet friendly.

B and B's are generally no frills but are clean and comfortable. Hotel was easy to find and (although I didn't realise at the time), Bochum West train station is only a few yards away.
